Mit einer weiteren großangelegten Behördenverlagerung will Bayerns Ministerpräsident Markus Söder strukturschwache Regionen in Bayern stärken. Vom Bayerischen Gemeindetag wird dieses Ansinnen grundsätzlich begrüßt. Laut Gemeindetagspräsident Dr. Uwe Brandl „ist es gut und richtig, wenn der ‚Wasserkopf‘ München ein wenig entlastet wird, indem staatliche Ämter und Behörden in ländliche Räume Bayerns verlagert werden. Allerdings schaut es derzeit so aus, als ob überwiegend kreisfreie Städte davon profitieren werden, nicht aber die kleinen und mittelgroßen Kommunen.“
